Scope of Registration

Our certified scope covers carbon, alloy, and stainless steel wire. Our stocked inventory is focused on cold heading quality carbon and alloy grades — stainless is available on special order. Both our Northbrook corporate office and our Rockford warehouse are within the certified scope.

What ISO 9001:2015 Certification Delivers

ISO certification isn't a marketing badge. It's a recurring third-party audit of how a company actually operates. For our customers, it means:

  Every step of how material is received, inspected, stored, and shipped is documented and consistent — not dependent on which person happens to be working that day.

  Every coil that leaves our warehouse can be traced back to its mill source, heat number, and chemistry. If something goes wrong downstream, the cause can be found.

  Continuous improvement

  The standard requires ongoing review and improvement of our quality system — not just maintaining what already works, but identifying what could work better.

  Independent verification

  EAGLE Registrations Inc. audits our quality system annually. The certificate is renewed every three years following a full reassessment.

  Customer recourse

  If you have a quality concern that we can't resolve directly, you can escalate to our registrar. ISO certification means there's an external accountability mechanism.

Mill Certifications on Every Coil

Every coil of CHQ wire shipped from Nevers comes with a mill certificate documenting:

• — Chemistry analysis — the heat analysis of every element controlled in the specification
• — Mechanical properties — tensile, yield, reduction in area, hardness as applicable to the grade
• — Heat number — for traceability to a specific mill production lot
• — Mill identification — the producing mill and country of melt
• — Condition and surface treatment — SAFS or SAIP, P&L coating, any other specified processing

Mill certs ship as a standard practice, not an upgrade or special request. They're required for our customers serving regulated industries, and we provide them by default for everyone else too.
